The Artist
Tara has been inspired by animals all her life; both artistically and generally. They are often the muses for her detailed pen and ink renderings, focused on bringing their emotions to the forefront. This style emerged for her during post-concussion in 2015. While she has always loved drawing and sketching, her connection to the pen & ink medium had never produced pieces as striking as they are now. Her style has a unique way of depicting texture and allows the focus to remain on the animal's gaze by often omitting cluttering aspects such as colour or background.

Art came naturally and at a young age for Tara; her desire to paint and draw was ferocious and consistent. She attended specialized arts programs throughout most of her schooling and gained exposure to many techniques and various media, while obtaining a four year education in art history.

In between commissioned work and special projects, she's currently focusing on creating a series of life-sized animal pen & ink drawings.
The Art
Artworks range from modest critters at affordable price points, all the way to life-sized beasts that command large spaces.

Tara creates original compositions of animals that convey the emotions and messages we can't always articulate.

While animals from all across the globe can be a source of inspiration, the animals native to Canada and Ontario have been an authentic source of love and dedication throughout Tara's artworks.

In additional to original artworks and commissions, Tara will select certain pieces to have high quality prints made and available for purchase at in-person events, through Instagram, and by reaching out through the CONTACT page.
